Computer Science Researcher

Ricardo M. Czekster em 10/02/2008

Ricardo M. Czekster works in the intersection of performance evaluation, complex system modeling and application of formalisms in real life problems such as those arising from peer-to-peer realities, software development (global as well), distributed and concurrent systems. Ricardo began studying Computer Science in 1998, where he was awarded two distinguished visiting researcher invitations, one at Grenoble/France, on LIG (Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble) and another on LFCS (Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science) at Edinburgh/Scotland. He is interested in the solution of structured markovian systems, focusing in Communicating Markov Processes and Stochastic Automata Networks. Another topics verse on stochastic modeling of complex systems and Software Performance Engineering, to name a few.

Software and applications

There are some applications and software that I developed, for example, a webpage to solve a simple infinitesimal generator (< 40 states). Another example is the PEPS tool or some scripts of code snippets that I use in a daily basis. You can use these snippets at will they are free to use. I work as a developer and consultant of scientific APIs through my company, which is called Systra Technologies, an innovative enterprise focusing on one single goal: pragmatism. For any questions or remarks, feel free to contact me, maybe writing an email at this address.

Interests

put a good photo description in here

My main interests comprehends Performance Evaluation in general, Software Performance Evaluation, distributed computing (focus on Peer-to-Peer Networks), information visualization, computer programming, Software Engineering methodologies, structured modeling formalisms (Petri Nets, Stochastic Automata Networks, PEPA, PEPA nets, etc) and solution. I am also interested in articles and papers about science and its popularization (Carl Sagan style), among other various interests.
